SAN MARCO 25th of April
The day 25 April is the Feast of San Marco, the patron saint of the city. In ancient times, in this day, it was, in Piazza, a famous procession which was attended religious authorities, civil and representatives of the arts. Still today San Marco is celebrated with a procession in the Basilica. Between the Venetians is very widespread the with-suetudine to donate in this day a "bocolo", a bud of pink, to women that the more we love.
ASCENSIONE FESTA DE LA SENSA - The marriage of the sea.
Historically fruit of the meeting of rites and events civil and religious, today is a celebration of the sea and of Venice city. The day of the ascension, , the city authorities are accompanied from San Marco to Lido by a procession of historical craft vapor rowing boats until the inlet of S. FESTA DEL REDENTORE – July,
the Feast of the Redeemer is a celebration that is repeated from more than 430 years and has in itself religious spirit, as solemn thanks for the plague exceeded, and the Spirit festive of the traditional dinner on the boat and in the open.
